Who is la Capitana?
I'm Fabiana Stringa. Italian, born in Genoa — the old Repubblica Marinara — and shaped by a decade across three continents.
For twelve years I have helped families around the world find their way into Italian life: the language, the table, the workshop, the village where a surname still means something to someone.
I am a language educator, a coach and a creative director. My method is visual and game-based — real situations, built around how each person in the family actually learns. It works with young children, it survives teenagers, and it has worked especially well with neurodivergent learners.
Families call me la Capitana because I take the helm for a year. I design the route, I open the doors, I make the introductions — and then I step back, so the family takes part on its own.
